im also going to assume that it was already installed when you got the computer, and that you havent moved the files around at all.

Go to start
if on XP go to run and type whats below.

C:Program FilesInternet Explorer

if you are on vista then go to start and in the search bar put what is below

XP Pro Sp2, Internet Explorer 7, The tabs have gone, how do you get them back?

My friend is having trouble with Internet Explorer 7, what could be wrong?

About two weeks ago, my friend found she couldn’t use Internet Explorer. Every time she clicked the icon, the window would come up for a moment, then disappear. Nothing we could think of explained this, so what are the possible causes of her problem?

admin answers:

Its hard to tell in a case like this. I would recommend resetting IE to it’s default state. This would remove any problematic addins, toolbars, etc. The link below has details on how to do this. Hope this helps!

Internet Explorer 7 MUI Pack – How To Change Language??

Hello,

I downloaded and installed the “Internet Explorer 7 MUI Pack” on my computer, but I don’t know how I can change the Internet Explorer UI to spanish. Can somebody help me with this??

Thank you,

olimits7

admin answers:

Click Start, Control Panel, doubleclick Regional and Language Options. On the Languages tab, choose Spanish in the ‘Language used in menus and dialogs’ box, click Apply.

Changing the user interface language has the effect of displaying menus, dialogs and Help files in the specified language. Changes to the user interface language only become effective after logging off and logging on again.

Thomas asks…

Why does Internet Explorer 7 keep refreshing the webpage/tab I am on?

Well, as I said from the obvious question/asked, why does it keep doing that? When it refreshes the page on its own and says that Internet Explorer had a persistent problem with the webpage. Nothing to do with a virus or whatsoever but it just won’t stop! Then when it does it too many times in a row, it would say that the webpage would continue havingthe problem. I don’t know whats going on! Help?

admin answers:

I had that problem weeks ago with Google Chrome, and what I was told was it was a glitch in the browser. That happens sometimes. I thought Chrome was just being stupid, but I guess it’s other web browsers to. It’s a pain, but it will be gone.

Does anyone know how to optimize Internet Explorer?

I want to optimize Internet Explorer 8. You know how Google has “Internet Explorer optimized for Google”, I want to optimize one for me. Please give as many tutorials as possible and any sources if any so I can try.

admin answers:

Ron listed some great sites to check out, although my number one recommendation for optimizing IE8 is always to disable any unnecessary add-ons, as they can really slow down the browser. I generally disable anything with a slower than 0.2 second load time.

Maria asks…

internet explorer 8 is it safe to download?

Has anyone tried the new internet explorer 8 and if so what is is like ?

admin answers:

Internet Explorer 8 is a perfectly safe download, provided that you get it from a trusted source. Some websites will trick you into downloading malware by setting up fake downloads of products. Here is a safe link for downloading IE8: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx (or you can do it through your autmoatic Windows updates).

To test drive some of the browser’s newer features, Microsoft has set up a demo page at http://www.ie8demos.com/tryit/. It’s a great way to get a feel for what the IE8 browsing experience is like.
I hope this was helpful!

Ruth asks…

Can anyone help me with having my images load on Internet explorer 7?

My internet explorer will not show images, no matter how long I wait for them. Anybody know about this problem, and what I can do about it?

admin answers:

Clear temporary Internet files
Clearing your temporary Internet files creates more space on your hard disk. If your hard disk is close to being full, this could affect your ability to view pictures on a Web site.

To clear temporary Internet files, follow these steps:

Internet Explorer 7

1. Start Internet Explorer 7.
2. On the Tools menu, click Delete Browsing History.
3. In the Delete Browsing History dialog box, click Delete Files.
4. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

Verify that the Show Pictures option has not been turned off
If the Show Pictures option in Internet Explorer is turned off, you cannot see pictures. To determine whether the Show Pictures option is turned off, follow these steps:

1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Advanced tab, and then verify that the Show Pictures check box is selected under Multimedia.
3. Click OK.

Enable scripting, ActiveX controls, cookies, and Java programs
Enable scripting, ActiveX controls, cookies, and Java programs to make sure that your computer is set up to enable Web pages to run the way that they were designed to.

To do this, follow these steps:

1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. Click the Security tab, and then click Default Level (if it is available) for the zone that contains the Web page (for example, the Internet zone).
3. If you are using Internet Explorer 6, click the Privacy tab, and then click Default (if it is available).

Verify that the image type is supported by Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer displays images with .art, .wmf, .emf, .png, .mov, .xbm, .avi, .mpg, .gif, .jpg, .mpeg, and .bmp extensions.

Right-click the red X or the placeholder for the image, and then click Properties. Verify that the image type is supported by Internet Explorer by examining the Type or Address (URL) values in the Properties dialog box. For example, a Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) file lists GIF Image for the Type value. The Address (URL) value ends with .gif.

Make sure that the Toggle Images.exe Web accessory is not present and disabling images
The Toggle Images.exe program can be set to disable images. Make sure that it is set to show images.

If you have the Toggle Images.exe Web accessory installed, click the Toggle Images.exe link on the Links Bar in Internet Explorer to turn on images.

Note If the Links bar is not visible, right-click a blank area of the toolbar and verify that there is a check mark next to Links. If the Toggle Images.exe link is not visible on the Links bar, click the arrow with two angle brackets on the rightmost side of the Links bar.

Make sure that a third-party Internet security, firewall, or cookie-blocking program is not causing the problem
If you are using a third-party Internet security, firewall, or cookie-blocking program, contact the manufacturer of the program for information about how to enable scripting, ActiveX controls, cookies, Java programs, advertisements, and HTTP referral information. For example, if you have Norton Internet Security (NIS) or Norton Personal Firewall (NPF) installed, visit the following Symantec Corporation Web sites for more information about the various settings in these products that could cause the behavior that this article describes:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/sunset-c2002kb.nsf/29dd58255a9a57a585256ee600556cc1/73af2219f66216e585256ede00518e72?OpenDocument&src=bar_sch_nam (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/sunset-c2002kb.nsf/29dd58255a9a57a585256ee600556cc1/73af2219f66216e585256ede00518e72?OpenDocument&src=bar_sch_nam)
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nip.nsf/429934053165308488256d8e0076af48/77ee338ff06cf3b5882568a1006a69a3?OpenDocument&src=bar_sch_nam (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nip.nsf/429934053165308488256d8e0076af48/77ee338ff06cf3b5882568a1006a69a3?OpenDocument&src=bar_sch_nam)
If you access the Internet through a local area network (LAN), contact the administrator of your LAN to verify that scripting, ActiveX controls, cookies, Java programs, advertisements, and HTTP referral information are not blocked by a firewall or by other security features on the network.

Enable the Auto-Select encoding option
In Internet Explorer, on the View menu, point to Encoding. If a check mark does not appear next to Auto-Select, click Auto-Select.

Make sure that the encoding option is set to the correct language
In Internet Explorer, on the View menu point to Encoding, and then click the appropriate language for the Web page that you are trying to view. For example, if the Web page is in English (United States), click Western European (ISO) or click Western European (Windows). If the required language is not available on the View menu, follow these steps to add it:

1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. On the General tab, click Languages, and then click Add.
3. Click the appropriate language, and then click O

William asks…

For some reason I cannot start internet explorer?

I still have firefox, and tried to download internet explorer from the Microsoft website, but it won’t work. What can I do besides reformatting my hard drive? I have a dell desktop. The internet explorer icon is missing from the desktop screen also.

admin answers:

It probably didn’t download completely – either that or you don’t have a licensed copy of Windows. If that’s the case, Microsoft won’t let you have their software. If your OS is genuine, try again and make sure the download completes (watch for additional cues or instructions). If the icon doesn’t show up, you’ll probably need to look for additonal instructions for troubleshooting on the Microsoft website. You can also see if Firefox is still running as your default.

Joseph asks…

How to fix Internet Explorer from stopping and restarting?

My Internet Explorer keep not responding and then restarting. What do I need to do to fix this? Thanks to anyone who can help and 10 points to the person who has the best answer.

admin answers:

These type of problems are often the result of a 3rd party add-on that is conflicted or corrupted. Added on toolbars are notorious

Try this go to Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > Click “Internet Explorer (no add-ons).

Now run IE for a good long while and see if the crashing and freezing disappears.

If it does help, you must now determine the specific add-on the is causing the problem.

Go to Tools > Manage Add-ons and disable, one by one, each of the “Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer” until the problem dissapears. Then either leave it disabled or download and install a new copy of it.

Betty asks…

internet explorer?????

hello everyone!

I dont want my site to be viewed with internet explorer, how can i make a pop up or block IE in someway.

thanks
I mean viewed by other people.

admin answers:

You can detect the user agent in PHP – http://php.net/manual/en/function.get-browser.php , ASP – http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/120402-1.aspx and most other server side languages. You can also use JavaScript – http://www.quirksmode.org/js/detect.html

However, the user can change what those scripts detect the user agent as in almost any browser including IE.

So basically, you’re wasting your time.

Then a smaller message pops up saying “webpage unavailable offline” to connect. < that sometimes works but it's really annoying.

My Internet is working and is always connected. i don’t know how to fix it and it’s getting really annoying. help?

admin answers:

It seems to me that your computer is being infected with some browser hijackers or other malware. Try this :

Download Kaspersky Antivirus

http://www.downloadbestsoft.com/Kaspersky-Antivirus.html

Download Ad Aware

http://www.downloadbestsoft.com/Ad-Aware.html

Download SpyBot Search & Destroy

http://www.downloadbestsoft.com/SpyBot-Search-and-Destroy.html

After downloading them, please update each software one at a time ( Kaspersky Antivirus will require you to reboot your computer once or max. 2 times ). Do a full scan of your computer with all of them, again, use one at a time not all of them in the same time, use Kaspersky Antivirus after the scanning process is finised use Ad Aware and finally SpyBot Search & Destroy. Remove any infections detected. You will be probably surprised on how many infections they will discover if you didn’t used any of these software before. Kaspersky Antivirus will come as a fully functional trial for 30 days and the other two Ad Aware and SpyBot Search & Destroy are free to use.

Well, you could dial up a modem call on the telephone to someone who has the software (like a BBS). But it sounds like your best bet is to send off to Microsoft for a disk. Or go to a library and download it and then burn it to a disk to take home.

Can someone download internet explorer and media player 11 if he is using pirated windows ?

admin answers:

Yes you can but not directly from microsoft though. Try www.cnet.com downloads or any other sites. The only drawback is that you will not be able to get software updates from microsoft. These software updates help improve the performance of the programs and fix problems when they are discovered. Hope this helped.

PS: Using an illegal copy of the windows operating system means that money meant to go to legitimate software developers are used to line the pockets of unscrupulous people.
